Today Dan and I fly to Casablanca, Morocco. We’re going to spend two weeks traveling around the country and then a week in the vicinity of Tiznit, a southern town where our friend Amelia has been working with the Peace Corps.
In Casablanca we meet up with Sorin & Joshua, father and son traveling together. Tomorrow we meet our guide for the first two weeks, Mark Gordon. He is a friend of Amelia’s and a long-time resident of Marrakesh.
We left on May 31st, and arrive early today, which we planned as day of acclimatization and recovery. A little wandering around, some sleeping. The journey really starts tomorrow.
